“ Such a cool spot! Some really tasty wood-fired pizza and a great selection of craft beers within a laid-back and somewhat artsy/eclectic interior. The service was great and the host was able to seat us within 5 minutes despite it being seemingly packed. To top it off, they have ping pong tables as well as live music multiple times each week, usually with some really cool smaller-name indie bands. I will say, a lot of people have noted that the prices are a little steep. I would agree that it's pricier than the standard takeout pizza spot, but the quality is much better and their pizzas are plenty to share between two people. Overall, Comet is definitely a DC staple that's worth checking out for a date, a family dinner, or just some live music. I will definitely be coming back soon. ”
“ Comet Ping Pong is always a fun time. I've been here for musical performances, which are always great, I've been here for drinks with friends or with my partner, and they always have a strong drink selection. I haven't tried their pizza yet but it's definitely on my list. Last night I was there with a small group for drinks and - what else - ping pong. They're super busy on Saturday nights and watch out, LOTS of small children, but we still had a great time. Very chilled vibe, super nice bartenders and servers. Hands down the best bar in this area. ”
“ Comet is a must for if you have little ones who love pizza. The servers are great, the TVs have fun cartoons, the atmosphere is upbeat. Parking is very easy in the back. ”
“ I was referred by someone to check this place out, they say it's the best pizza on Wisconsin avenue and I must agree!! The crust was made to perfection, I asked for my pizza crispy half pepperoni half cheese. The dough was delicious, the sauce tastes homemade. Looking for a place to bring your family and friends. This lace has looks of room and even a ping pong area in the back of the restaurant. The staff here is very friendly, the service was super fast and she was very attentive. Can't wait to taste the rest of the menu. ”
“ Pizza is consistently delicious. I've had two of their signature pies: The Smokey OG and Steel Wills. They are both well balanced, fresh ingredients, and love how they're cooked. Fun spot to drink, eat, and play ping pong and have a rotating draft list that is great for beer-lovers. The more I frequent this place, the more I enjoy the wings -- the meat FELL off the bone and I liked the flavor even though dry rub isn't usually my preference! Caesar salad is well-dressed and delicious! Finally, servers are very attentive and food came quickly! ”
“ Came to DC for work, and my good friend knew I would appreciate this place! We started with the risotto balls and fried pickles--both outstanding, hot and crisp. The risotto balls were super creamy and surprisingly delicate and the friend pickles had the perfect pickle to batter ratio. Red sauce and ranch were perfect complements. We shared the Spring chick pizza which was good but definitely lacked chicken, which was a bit of a bummer. The crust is amazing, tastes like the neighborhood pizza place I remember when I was a kid. Great prices, good service, and even decent parking out back. It was super loud inside but also offered outdoor covered seating that was a nice touch. So glad we went! ”
“ Comet has been serving up some of the best pizza in DC for a while now! They have the best pies- unique flavors and ingredients combined in ways you wouldn't imagine. The crust is always flavorful and the perfect texture, and the different bases are good. They used to have a breakfast pizza on the menu that's my go-to, which includes potatoes, sausage, and an egg. I still order it through the "make your own". Just be aware that this is a bougie pizza place so it's a little more expensive. One pizza can serve two people, and they're all between 16-20 dollars. The exterior seating is so cute right now, with a large awning, lights, and lots of plants. It's very spacious and a great place to bring dogs, kids, or a large group. They have tons of seating inside as well. The servers are always not just nice but fun, and they know exactly what to recommend. Comet's been around for a long time for a reason! ”
